Heavy: The Story of Metal

Heavy: The Story of Metal is a four-part documentary special that aired on VH1 in 2006. The series focuses on the origins, subgenres, and the bands of heavy metal music, paying close attention to influential bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden, who helped to define heavy metal in its early years. Other bands on the program include, Alice Cooper, Kiss, AC/DC, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Guns N' Roses, and Marilyn Manson. However, the documentary notably passes over lower profile metal sub-genres such as death metal, black metal, doom metal, progressive metal, power metal and many others considered core elements of today's metal pantheon, focusing mostly on hard rock & traditional heavy metal. In Canada, the documentary aired on MuchMoreMusic and on C4 in New Zealand. It is not available on DVD or video.

Chanika returns home from abroad because her father is in the hospital. Upon returning home, she learns that her father is in huge debt and they need money to cover the medical expenses. Her college roommate introduces her to a high paying job out in the suburbs. Chinapat is the owner a rubber tree plantation and hires Chanika as a favor to his cousin. They don't get along because Chinapat has anger management issues and there are rumors about him. In order to avoid being engaged to his mom's friend's daughter, Chinapat asks Chinika to marry him for a large sum of money. Will they ever learn to get along?

Song Shuang Xu was abandoned by her parents when she was 8 years old and was later adopted by the Shen family. She mistook her dependence on Shen Yu for love and was exiled overseas because her relationship was exposed. When she returned to China five years later, she accidentally provoked Shen Yu's friend, He Ting Zhou. At this time, Shen Yu began to look for a marriage partner to avoid suspicion, and Song Shuang Xu decided to give up on him. Shen Yu's father suffered a setback, and Song Shuang Xu asked her friends for help but was rejected. Only He Ting Zhou asked for repayment, and she agreed but asked not to expose their love affair. While getting along, Song Shuang Xu realized that she was not really in love with Shen Yu, but He Ting Zhou had been plotting to get her for a long time.
