Alle de 16 nerdene skal bygges opp som ekte toppidrettsutøvere helt fra grunnen av. De har tre måneder på seg til å komme i toppform, lære seg regler og taktikk før de skal ut i sitt livs kamp mot et av Norges aller beste fotball-lag - Vålerenga.
For at nerdene i ""Heia Tufte"""" skal bygge lagånd, blir de fraktet ut i villmarken der de får ulike oppgaver de må mestre sammen som lag. Utfordringene er mange. Disse gutta er nemlig ellers mest interessert i ting man gjør innendørs...
I kveldens episode av ""Heia Tufte!"" får nerdene i Tufte IL oppleve noe alle fotballspillere må igjennom - Norway Cup! Og deres motspillere? Det sørafrikanske gutter 14-laget ""Potch"", som i snitt er ca. 20-30 cm. lavere enn alle Tufte-gutta!
Vi er blitt et skikkelig lag. Vi har fått drakter og buss, men vi må gjøre oss selv enda bedre kjent ute blant publikum slik at mange kommer og heier på oss mot Vålerenga. For å hjelpe oss med det har vi nå fått laget en egen klubbsang, sier trener Erik Thorstvedt til Tufte IL i kveldens episode av ""Heia Tufte!"".
I episode fem av av Heia Tufte! blir Drillo hentet inn for å lære Tufte-nerdene å bli enda tøffere og bedre på banen. De blir også sendt på selvforvarskurs og livvaktskurs for å tøffe seg opp. Og det trenger de! For den neste kampen de skal spille, er mot innsatte i Ila fengsel! Fangene ser skumle ut. Det blir en tøff kamp på alle måter...
Det er viktig for fotballikoner å ha et bra image. Derfor blir gutta i ""Heia Tufte!"" observert av stylister før de tas med på shoppingtur, blir frisert, sminket, kledd opp og fotografert av kjendisfotograf Dag Thorenfeldt.
Det er duket for landskamp i Heia Tufte! Tufte IL skal forsvare Norges ære når de spiller mot Sveriges nerdelag. Tufte IL gjennomfører en videoanalyse av det svenske laget før avspark, for å være best mulig forberedt til den store kampen.
Tufte-gutta drar på tur for å teste lagmoralen. Det blir utfordrende både fysisk og psykisk. Flere av dem får bryne seg på noen av fobiene sine. De får prøve seg på alt fra Nord-Europas høyeste strikkhopp til hestestell og ridning samt hallingkast og gammeldans. Noen av gutta viser nye og ukjente sider ved seg selv...
Tufte IL skal spille returkamp mot piker 16-laget Rapid Athene, som knuste dem i første program. Guttene har stort pågangsmot og høye forventninger. Skal de endelig lykkes med å score sitt første mål? En stor overraskelse venter da de ankommer Melløs stadion - 2500 tilskuere er møtt opp på tribunene for å heie på dem!
FINALE! Endelig er det finalekamp for Tuftegutta! Nå er det alvor. Tufte IL skal møte Vålerenga i sitt livs kamp. Det er dette de har jobbet for i flere måneder, det er dette de har trent mot og hatt som målsetting. 5300 mennesker fylte Vallhall med taktfaste ""Heia Tufte""-kamprop. I kveld kan du se hvordan kampen gikk, samt hva Tuftegutta gjorde for å lade opp til den store dagen. Og ikke minst - hva de følte da den store utfordringen endelig var gjennomført.
