Synopsis

Three generations of judges—mentor Zhang Weimin, his apprentices Fang Yuan and Song Yufei, and Fang Yuan’s protégé Zhou Yi’an—navigate shifting roles in China’s courts. When young Supreme Court cadre Ye Xin arrives, their intertwined journeys highlight the challenges of justice, morality, and humanity while upholding the tradition of guidance and dedication to the law.
