A man cruises around late at night looking for something. When he pulls over, seemingly to ask two young girls for directions, only to flash them for a cheap thrill, he discovers too late that he has picked the wrong girls.

Kozack had blown up an undercover operation for which Mia was responsible. A colleague was killed, a suitcase full of money and the designer drug "Green Devil" went missing. Mia and Kozack are put on leave - and continue their investigation together. After some initial friction, they realize that they complement each other very well: Kozack knows his way around the Berlin scene and Mia has a quick wit and excellent contacts "at the top". Kozack has to realize that Mia is an equal partner - a hard blow for the macho man.

But as she embarks on her nostalgic journey, she encounters an unexpected guest in her memories, leading to unforeseen revelations and a confrontation with reality.

As she is about to board the last bus to Tokyo, a terrible looking old person causes her to miss the bus. She attempts to walk across a ridge. Meanwhile, Mayu's uncle Uchida Kazuki is a freelancer writer. He chases after the hideous monster Yoshie who attacks people. Kazuki receives a phone call that his niece Mayu ran away. He begins a search for her and finds her cellphone on a mountain path. He sees Yoshie's picture on her cellphone.
